Hermite‐Hadamard‐type inequalities for interval‐valued coordinated convex functions involving generalized fractional integrals

In this paper, we define interval‐valued left‐sided and right‐sided generalized fractional double integrals. We establish inequalities of Hermite‐Hadamard like for coordinated interval‐valued convex functions by applying our newly defined integrals.     

Nonrigid image registration using similarity measure based on spatially weighted global probability distribution function

In nonrigid image registration, similarity measures including spatial information have been shown to perform better than those measures without spatial information. In this work, we provide new insight to the relationships among regional mutual information, regional probability distribution functions (PDFs) and global PDFs, and propose a novel nonrigid registration scheme with spatially weighted global probability distribution function (SWGPDF). Similarity measures based on SWGPDF (SWGPDFSM) are constructed. Three different spatial sub-region division methods are compared: the equally spaced sub-region (ESSR), the local binary pattern sub-region (LBPSR) and the gradient sub-region (GSR). The registration scheme applies B-spline based free form deformations (FFDs) as the transformation model. A Parzen window and linear interpolation are used to construct histograms. The SWGPDFSM registration scheme with ESSR space division is compared with the traditional global mutual information (gMI), the traditional global normalized mutual information (gNMI), regional mutual information and the SWGPDFSM with LBPSR or GSR space division. The test results show that SWGPDFSM scheme with ESSR space division outperforms the other schemes for elastically aligning images in the presence of big geometrical transformations, bias fields and illumination changes.     

Korn inequality for a thin rod with rounded ends

We consider an elastic rod with rounded ends and diameter proportional to a small parameter h > 0. The roundness of the ends is described by an exponent m ∈ (0,1). We derive for the rod an asymptotically sharp Korn inequality with a special weighted anisotropic norm. Weight factors with m‐dependent powers of h appear both in the anisotropic norm and the Korn inequality itself, and we discover three critical values m = 1 ∕ 4, m = 1 ∕ 2 and m = 3 ∕ 4 at which these exponents are crucially changed. Controllability results for the two-dimensional heat equation with mixed boundary conditions using Carleman inequalities: a linear and a semilinear case

In this paper, we prove controllability results for a two-dimensional semilinear heat equation with mixed boundary conditions. It is well-known that mixed boundary conditions can present a singular behaviour of the solution. First, we will prove global Carleman estimates then we will use these inequalities to obtain controllability results.     

Summability factor relations between absolute weighted and Cesàro means

By , we denote the set of all sequences such that Σ?_na_n is summable V whenever Σa_n is summable U, where U and V are two summability methods. Recently, Sar?göl has characterized the set for k > 1,α > ?1 and arbitrary positive sequences Now, in the present paper, we characterize the sets , k > 1 and , k ≥ 1 for arbitrary positive sequences Hence we extend these results to the range α≥ ? 1. In this way, some open problems in this topic are also completed.     

On the Discrete Criteria and JØ rgensen Inequalities for SL(m,F((t)))

In this paper, the author gives the discrete criteria and J\o rgensen inequalities of subgroups for the special linear group on $\overline{\mathrm{F}}((t))$ in two and higher dimensions.

Properties of mono-weakly hyponormal 2-variable weighted shifts

In this paper, we study several properties for mono-weakly hyponormal 2-variable weighted shifts. First, we consider propagation phenomena for mono-weakly hyponormal (resp. mono-polynomially hyponormal) 2-variable weighted shifts. Next, we contemplate the mono-weak hyponormality under the Schur product. Finally, we study whether the mono-weak hyponormality is invariant under powers.
